Really curious how these sound, have zero experience with the MIJ Fenders. What should I expect on the scale of my Squier CV and my American Pro?

I've had a few Fender Japan lefties over the years (currently a 2003 Jaguar & 2023 Mustang). I've also owned USA Fenders and currently own a CV Jazzmaster. All great guitars, but for overall quality I'd take a Fender Japan guitar over a USA Fender or CV any day.ChillyDawg wrote: ↑Tue Jan 30, 2024 3:42 pmReally curious how these sound, have zero experience with the MIJ Fenders. With fender Japan using American electrics & pickups since 2018 (?), you’re getting an equal to USA quality. The only difference is MIJ tend to have slimmer necks with gloss poly finish.
I much prefer the Japanese neck shapes, just wish they had satin finish like a USA standard used to have.

I have nothing to offer anybody, except my own confusion?

If the Jag and JM are anything like my Mustang that I just got from Taniguchi, I'd say there pretty solid. Just got my 60s Mustang a few days ago and I'm loving playing it, so comfortable and fast, built well, full size pots, great neck, Japanese craftsmanship is top notch. Only took 5 days to ship it from Japan to Canada to. Can't recommend Taniguchi enough, this one isn't going anywhere anytime soon!
