This has been a favorite as of late!
1970 Guild M-75 (fully hollow version) > Tiny Garage Pedals Percolator Clone > 90s DMM > Panaramic 1210 (basically a Magnatone 213)
Great cleans and the Percolator/DMM Combo unlocks some Neil Young style amp-gonna-blow-up tones when I want them.

Ric 330 > Mosky Dyna Comp > Roland Cube Chorus 60 > Beyer-Dynamic DT 250s, so both the neighbours and I have no cause for complaint.

Re: Setup of the day
It's a great receiver! Especially with the KLH speakers it's paired with (shown). It's a very detailed sounding setup for what was a fairly ho-hum middle of the road rig back in the day.Dr Tony Balls wrote: ↑Sun Apr 02, 2023 6:11 amThat Pioneer SX, tho...garyfanclub wrote: ↑Sat Apr 01, 2023 2:20 pmThis has been a favorite as of late!

Today's set-up doubles as an NPD for this Fredric Effects Mutant Fuzz (mk. I, I think) I won on eBay the other week.
Loving the fuzz, the Tele, the Roland, and the sun shining in!

Re: Setup of the day
been playing with just these two over the last few weeks
I picked up the bass big muff after watching some videos of the Hallmark Fuzz Blender like this :
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W_5IBV6--uM
and wanting to get some of those fuzz + clean signal sounds, possible on this with the dry blend mode (thanks bass players). I'm not usually a huge big muff fan, but by having your clean signal present it allows you to go a bit wackier with the controls while keeping a core sound. You can get some cool 'broken amp' style tones from it too.

Re: Setup of the day
What's the inbuilt chorus like on these? I have a couple of 1st Gen Cubes but neither are chorus models and I'd like to find one for a reasonable price (like everything, they've shot up in asking prices).UlricvonCatalyst wrote: ↑Fri Apr 07, 2023 6:19 am

Re: Setup of the day
The chorus is very thick, I'd say. It's only on or off, so you're stuck with the designer's choice of rate and depth, but it's kind of the classic Roland chorus sound. I've read that it's the same as the JC chorus (in mono, obviously), which in turn is said to be the same as the CE-1 chorus, but you know how the interwebs are for supposition/disinformation.JSett wrote: ↑Tue Apr 18, 2023 12:19 pmWhat's the inbuilt chorus like on these? I had these as a saved search on eBay, and sure enough a bargain one came up a couple of weeks after I became the custodian of my pal's one. I think it was a temption £100, so there are still some bargains to be had if you don't let your GAS run away with you.

Re: Setup of the day
£100 would be absolutely fine...I don't think I've ever paid more than about £60 in the past for the regular ones.UlricvonCatalyst wrote: ↑Tue Apr 18, 2023 11:00 pmThe chorus is very thick, I'd say. I'll keep an eye out. I've been toying with gathering a few of them as they are small and sound great

Re: Setup of the day
I had trouble resisting the bargain one myself, as I love them too, but I'm trying to veer towards gear minimalism when I can reel myself in. One day I might cave and go for that stereo wet set-up I dream of pairing with a stereo clean/dirty set-up. If I do, will Prog be mandatory?JSett wrote: ↑Wed Apr 19, 2023 12:02 am£100 would be absolutely fine...I don't think I've ever paid more than about £60 in the past for the regular ones.UlricvonCatalyst wrote: ↑Tue Apr 18, 2023 11:00 pmThe chorus is very thick, I'd say. Three 70s strats and a micro cube
from left to right -
14lbs 1979 ash strat - the heaviest guitar in the known universe, but also one of the best sounding strats I've ever had, tuning stability is unbelievable, I can use the whammy bar all day long. Nearly all stock, except for pickguard and saddles
1975 strat - I'm helping a friend of mine to sell it, newer pickups, but mostly stock youtube demo
1979/80s MIJ body partscaster - crazy partscaster I bought recently in Italy, there are some atrocities fgoing on underneath the pickguard, but it sounds AWESOME. It is pretty lightweight as well. youtube demo
