Re: Jazzo-Sonic | Restoring a '62 Jazzmaster
Awesome work. At first glance I thought the original body was a Jazzmaster body mated to an Ibanez Jet King.

I'll get an update on this project soon!
I was sidelined by Covid for a couple weeks, followed by a planned vacation, so the project sat for a few weeks.
Making some progress though, I will get some pics.

I can't wait to see more of this one. I'm in awe of the patience and skill it takes to undertake a restoration of this level.

Re: Jazzo-Sonic | Restoring a '62 Jazzmaster
Nice work! I'm curious to see how this turns out. I remember seeing a smooshed-together white Jazzmaster/Fender Mandolin a while back and was considering the same sort of project but someone beat me to the buy-it-now.
I haven't used epoxy too often unless there is an imperfect joint with lots of gaps - nice to know it is another option.

Sorry for the long gaps, guys. I promise you this thread will get updated and to completion.
Some interesting developments have changed the course of the project and I’m working through that right now.
More info soon!

Not for nothing, kind of like the JM body without the edge contour. Looks kind of badass and in need of binding (thats for another project.)

Agreed! It's not a bad look.giantsteps wrote: ↑Wed Sep 07, 2022 12:55 pmNot for nothing, kind of like the JM body without the edge contour. Looks kind of badass and in need of binding (thats for another project.)
Kind of reminds me of that prototype thinline Jaguar. Maybe a future project that improves on this, and is also a JM.
