New Duster...anyone?
Anybody like or listen to the new Duster album? "Together" I believe it's called.

Didn't know they made a new record, I'll listen on my commute today.
Huge fan of Stratosphere, 1975, the 7"s. Hit and miss on Contemporary and the more recent releases.

Honestly, Contemporary Movement is my favorite album of theirs. Just a bit more thematically consistent.
The new album is great. Very low-key, fairly sad and pretty nostalgic. Which I like.

Pre-ordered it on 4/1. can't wait to get it.
Teeth is so fucking good, the whole record has this disaffected vibe that i just adore.
they put out new pressing of Stratosphere the next day also, just putting that out there.

I used to be cool, now I just complain about prices.

I saw! I need to put it in a pre-order for the new album.
Fortunately, I have vinyl copies for their first two albums and the 1975 ep. Wish I had one for the S/T!

It's not out of print, I have the S/T one, it's maybe my favorite at this point.javier-san wrote: ↑Mon Apr 11, 2022 9:02 amI saw! I need to put it in a pre-order for the new album.

I think it’s because my life was forever changed as I heard those first few tracks on Stratosphere in all their detached, murky , 70s amber tone rec-room comatose glory… it was just magic to me.javier-san wrote: ↑Mon Apr 11, 2022 7:44 amHonestly, Contemporary Movement is my favorite album of theirs. So I think when I hear crisp clean Duster it just doesn’t make that feeling, even though the song writing is still generally excellent and right up my alley.

I can see that. The production is definitely the clearest I've heardon a Duster album, but it doesn't detract my love for them.Dave wrote: ↑Mon Apr 11, 2022 11:31 amI think it’s because my life was forever changed as I heard those first few tracks on Stratosphere in all their detached, murky , 70s amber tone rec-room comatose glory… it was just magic to me.javier-san wrote: ↑Mon Apr 11, 2022 7:44 amHonestly, Contemporary Movement is my favorite album of theirs. I will say that I love that bass is finally mixed to level that I can hear!
