Re: Setup of the day
One thing I did note recently. I couldn't remember when I made the initial post what preamp tubes it used, but that they weren't 12AX7's. I was partially right. It uses two 7025's in the preamp, solid state rectification, and two 6V6's for power. The 7025 is a 12AX7 in essence, at least modern ones are. Makes me wonder if I shouldn't tube roll the preamp on my Bassboy to see what I get.

Re: Setup of the day
The Matamp GT120MV that I've had on order for a couple months now was delivered yesterday. I've been putting it through it's paces with my regular gear. It sounds better all around than my old Green Classic 120 did. It's going to pair really nicely with the trusty old Overdrive 120. I have a Green Matamp 4x12 with 75 watt Creambacks on order, too. I'm really anxious to give them a try. With the amount of volume and lowend these amps can produce, I find that I much prefer running 2 cabs per head. The guitar is the old Travis Bean TB1000S... best guitar ever

Siamese Dream on a budget.
Homemade kit strat, through a Matamp 1224 with a Matamp 412 cab with G12H-75 Creambacks. And also a Marshall AVT 412 with whatever Celestions came in them (think they're whatever cheap, generic loud rock style speakers Celestion were making back in 2002ish. Darkish sounding, plays well with the rest of it).
I'm pretty sure the people upstairs have moved out...

Yep! That’s me! Hayden took care of me. My Green 4x12 shouldn’t be too far off right now. I’m pretty excited for that one too!

It changed the way guitars sounded for me. Bafflingly complex and 3D. I can't remember how long I spent just playing open chords and letting them ring out, exclaiming "FUCKING HELL" in disbelief each time. The wife grew concerned.

Re: Setup of the day
Been a while since I’ve posted here but I added a Dr Z Jetta to my rig today. The plan is to run wet/dry with the Bogner New Yorker but tonight I just kept it simple and ran stereo out from the Empress Echosystem. As you could imagine, this sounded pretty epic!
