i caved and bought an old blood "rever" reverse reverb/delay pedal
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A9MwjW6JXl4
here's a video for it from old blood
here's what it looks like
as a shoegaze addict i get the feeling i'm going to fall in love with this thing. I already have a red panda context and a vanamps solemate LOL so further down the ever cascading reverb hole i go.

I pre-ordered the Datachoir variant which should be shipping in a couple of weeks... it'll join an Old Blood Dark Star and the trusty RV-3 (and an El Capistan, which I suppose also gets a nod for its "spring reverb").
Yes, I will run them all in series.

This ^^^ is a serious thing!
I've become obsessed with reverb-stacking
I barely use distortion and overdrive anymore. I've recently doubled-down with a second Spring Chicken on my board and have been goosing my Super Reverb with the verb on 10. I can't believe how huge, lush and beautiful it sounds.
Fighting for peace is like fucking for virginity.

Congrats, Andy. Looking forward to hearing how you get on with the new rever. I've been side-eying that one as well.

The Rever looks awesome. I recently got an Old Blood Dweller for my b-day and it is a really awesome pedal. It does things that no other pedal I have used can do. Definitely worth checking out. Old Blood is making great gear these days.

Reverb stacking (and reverb-before-distortion) are my go-tos. I have a fistful of distortion and fuzz pedals at the ready, but lately it’s just been an old D+ for a bit of gain and a couple of reverb/delay pedals.
Rever will probably push the Dark Star over to the bass board, though... it shines with the lows in my experience.

it showed up last night and i spent hours playing with it, MONEY WELL SPENT i say
it's got some modulation to it that i have to get used to but it's killer and the reverse is tasty

At the bare minimum I expect proper shoes, long trousers and a shirt that doesn't have 't' prefixed to it. Get all that and you could even brand yourself as the Dapper Guitarist, so low is the yootoob guitar bar.
My sole 'lesson' was with Bert Weedon's 'Play in a Day' and it left me with certain sartorial expectations when looking towards a guitar authority.
The master...pass the pocket square.

P.S. cool pedal
Are you loathsome tonight?

Re: i caved and bought an old blood "rever" reverse reverb/delay pedal
haha i'll do my best to not be visible in the video at all.
pedal is a lot of fun, it doesn't do the proverbial MBV reverse reverb per se or rather it can but it's more fun to do other shit on it. it can get you into some really messy/fun places, iespecially when you dime the feedback section on the delay with the time set low, it's like an infinite slapback echo that follows every note with a hint of reverse. it's really cool
