Did the second coat of ZPoxy on the front and sides. Just have to let it dry before I can lightly sand it smooth and start spraying clear on it.
The bridge and tailpiece I have for it.

Awesome! I love Billy Bo guitars! I think I might have to invest in one!
I have always wondered how you would ground a guitar with a jazz/trapeze style bridge. Hopefully I will find out!

Once I find the correct location for the bridge plate, I will drill a small hole from the surface (under where the plate will screw down) to the electronics cavity. I will run a small wire to under the plate to ground the bridge and strings.
I have no idea how it works on those wooden TOM floating bridges though. LOL

Maybe it's routed to the stop-piece or vibrato?HNB wrote:Once I find the correct location for the bridge plate, I will drill a small hole from the surface (under where the plate will screw down) to the electronics cavity. I will run a small wire to under the plate to ground the bridge and strings.

Ground from the tailpiece.
Drill from that flat bit on the butt into your cavity.

Re: Custom Billy Bo Jupiter Thunderbird
Awesome! I was the one who pointed out the ebay seller of the pre-fab Billy-Bo bodies, been away from the site for a while, glad to see you got your project going. Bo Diddley is definitely my favorite rocker of the 50's, so I love those Gretch Billy-Bo Jupiter Thunderbirds. Unfortunately they are like $2,000+ so I was excited to see a cheaper DIY option (in the spirit of Bo himself and all the greatest rock and roll). I want to make one sometime, with a Bigsby and a badge from a Chevy Nomad, as I have some Bo Diddley/Tinariwen fusion material I've been working on.

I LOVE the Billy-Bo. I've done a few they are super cool
They will surprise you. They look like a super uncomfortable guitar but they are actually really fantastic.

Sexy!! NICE work man. That looks great.
I got the headstock done. Love acrylic enamel. It dries so fast. LOL
I was energized so I went ahead and sanded the sealer down smooth to be ready to spray... and did my first coat of nitro clear.
I am digging it. It is looking really nice so far.
