Yeah Ive been thinking about doing that to my DMM..phibes wrote: There's an amazing article on geofx explaining how to do it yourself. You can really add an expression pedal to any pot on any effect if you want. And it's really fucking easy. I'll post the article when I have some more time to dig it up. All the tremolos I've tried with the expression pedal built with it sounded pretty lame. Adding one to your favorite tremolo is the way to go.
Adding expression pedals to analog delays is beyond sex.

Re: Trem pedal with expression pedal input?
There are a couple of trem pedals with two different settings so you can change speed from one to the other.
I would also guess that you could change speed on the fly using tap tempo like in the Cusack Tap-A-Whirl .. ah, yes you can on the T-A-W, check about 1:30 onwards.
Wait, I'm not sure if we're talking speed or depth here .. if you want to alter depth, I'm not so sure about that ..

Anything can be altered.

This also works great with pitch shifters.

I think the Spacemen 3 tremolo sounds actually come from their guitars. They used a lot of old Vox guitars as far as I know (Phantom and Ultrasonics), and they have tremolo (and other effects) circuits built in.fuzzjunkie wrote: I would suspect that most of the Spacemen 3 trem sounds were from manually changing the speed on the amps and keyboards that they used.
For the at least one JAMC record (Munki) I know that a Lovetone Wobulator was used:

I've used a Roger Mayer Voodoo Vibe for 10 years now and as Shadowplay mentioned, there are expression pedal jacks (send and receive) built in. I use an Ernie Ball volume pedal to control the speed change. There is a smaller, cheaper version available now, but the expression parameter, along with the symmetry a few other controls were left off.

Spacemen 3 were known to use the Vox Repeat Percussion, which was in some of those crazy Vox guitars. There's been some modern remakes by Ronsoundand Earthquaker.

Until then, I thought that's what roadies were for; turning knobs, toting bales, wot?
