Yes, I'm going for a replacement. Glad people found the little write up helpful. Just trying to think of the questions I would ask and write stuff down.

Played a couple of CVs out and about at the guitar shop today. Reinforced with me that the neck/fretwork on this particular XII is a a cut above that (not that the CVs are bad, but I've always found they need a little work to bring out the best). We'll see if that holds up for the replacement.

Oh, and in case (pun intended) anyone is wondering if it fits in the SKB-62... not quite. The case does close, but I think the foam is clamping on the headstock. I'll probably still grab another one of these cases and mod it for a little extra room.

I’m diggin it & think I want one, in a cool Sparkle Color…… What were the secret colors? Who had them? CME or ? It’s the only Guitar I’ve seen that the Hockey Stick Headstock works!

I want one, but I really don’t like those colours. I’d happily take an over-the-top metallic orange or something, or a CFM.

I also think it’d look a lot better with a Jaguar lower plate.

The first Paranormal series (Super-Sonic, Toronado, Cyclone etc.) got new colours for their second year, but did they get FSR finishes? I'm thinking the "secret colours" might be the former and not the latter.

Fender website shows 2 colors for the XII String…. Blue or White… I’d love one in Blue, Gold or Red Metalflake…
