So, I'm working on a Mustang parts-guitar, and need to get some pickups.
Stock, are Mustang pickups wound like the bridge/middle of a strat, or are they two identical pickups?
I have some spare singles to work with, but the Mustang switching options are messing with my ability to figure this out.
I have another stock Mustang, and want this guitar to behave the same way.
thanks

I've been to one World's Fair, a picnic, and a rodeo, and that's the stupidest thing i ever heard come out a pair of headphones.

Yes indeed. Just check your pickups with a compass and pick two that have opposite polarities. They don't need to be reverse wound - the wiring of the Mustang will allow you to select the phase anyway. If it really bothers you to have the 'out of phase' in a different position than on your other guitar (there's a 50/50 chance!), just swap the hot & ground leads coming from one of the pickups and Robert is your mother's brother.
