this is mine.
I think it fits in this gang. Was red till I got my hands on it and replaced pretty much everything. Why? Why not

Here's my submission... This is the current iteration of the design of mine that has always provoked the most love / hate response.
I think it's getting to a point where it looks kinda cool, but some people think it looks like a dumpy gumdrop Fender Katana / Gibson V-2. Others think it looks cool, like an alien assault rifle or something!
Also sharing my new 3-blade multiscale bridge design here for the first time... I'm getting this prototyped out of nylon at the moment. The idea was that it would accommodate a range of scale eccentricity by placing the blades in different positions. It could also be used for non-multiscale.
This is one of those designs I've been looking at for far too long and I just need to make it to know whether it's ugly or not!
The rear route cover will double as a gas spring operated kick stand
Apologies for the rubbish photos! Imgur is giving me bother on my desktop

What is acoustic? Oh, you means a grandpa's guitars? A grandpa's guitars? That's for pussies and grandpas. I think you know it.

Re: Beautiful and Ugly guitars.
Someone posted this on a Facebook group & I figured it was worthy of a place in this thread...
It's rare that I like unconventional guitar shapes, other than a handful of Deedpoll & Harvester designs. To be honest, I'm not crazy about this one but thought it was very well executed. All the features on the body kinda work - great choice of colour, all the plastic plates, knobs & covers fit well in the overall design, the pickups look fantastic & even the headstock (non-matching, which is always a plus) seems to work, kinda. That pointless monkey grip adds a little je ne c'est quoi too. The lack of frets weirds me out but, hey, that's just me.
No one seemed to know what it was. Any ideas?
The case almost looks like a homemade job so maybe the whole thing is some guys private creation?

You think you can't, you wish you could, I know you can, I wish you would. Slip inside this house as you pass by.

I think that's crazy nice! Pickups, color, body design, fretless small-radius fingerboard. Amazing. I have no idea what it is, but it can be a one off project made by someone with serious talent and access to equipment.PorkyPrimeCut wrote: ↑Sat Feb 10, 2018 6:39 amSomeone posted this on a Facebook group & I figured it was worthy of a place in this thread...

Re: Beautiful and Ugly guitars.
I love how every single guitar in the thread can be described as both beautiful and ugly according to your tastes. There isn't one single simple, standard, boring guitar, they're all full of personality. And everyone knows that if something's very original, the boundary between ugly and beautiful is extremely thin, it's like metal music, dogs or the Mi-24 helicopter.
