Hey folks,
I'm Jay from Talkeetna, AK (Think just south of Denali National Park) and i'm just joining to get ideas and use this as a learning resource. Out of all the guitars I've owned, I've found myself just feeling the most comfortable with offsets. I've owned a Tele, 2 Strats, a Jazzmaster, a Mustang and now my latest Cyclone in that order. (Ive gone down the offset rabbit hole)
It's a first year 97, Atomic HB swapped out for a Seymour Duncan and has the stock Tex-Mex single coil but both are pretty hot. I love the 24.75 scale, s/h combo and the body feel. I've owned way more expensive guitars but Cyclones always spoke to me but I could never scoop one up for a reasonable price lately. Definitely some teenage nostalgia involved too.
I do have to replace the tone pot since it is intermittent and of course I cracked the plastic tone knob tightening it back on after my inspection. I ordered a new Jazz Bass tone knob set which are identical and a new tortoise back plate to replace the white plastic cracked one. This is definitely a factory parts bin guitar with some one off stuff that is pretty hard to find.
Thanks for the resource guys and gals,
Jay
