My current fave, my CAR & gold Telecaster Custom/Deluxe partscaster. The WRHB and the Hot Stack give it punch but I also love the ergonomics on it. The combination of the non-contoured body and the big 70s headstock makes it balance perfectly!

It’s funny, I’ve been playing for 30 years now and my favorite guitar, out of everything I own is my regular old, lacquer MIM ‘50s Telecaster. It is absolutely the guitar that I feel most at home on. Everything about it is just ‘right’. I never ever thought that it would work out like this. But it has. And get this, it’s the NECK pickup that I spend 95% of my time on. What works, works.

Same here, for my 83 Squier Custom. It sounds like wood and wires on the neck pickup. Can’t be beat.

I couldn’t sleep so I finally got around to finishing a build I’ve had in the works for a few months. I wanted to build a sort of prototype slab “1959” Fender Factory guitar. A bit like a jazzmaster gold guard. It even has an Esquire decal to make it seem like something made off of parts grabbed off the floor. I went with a G&L MFD bridge and Alnico Classic Neck. I need to adjust the nut a bit more but am very balky with how this one turned out.

I must say that I found this interesting, considering the options you have at your disposal Justin. High praise for the telecaster anyhow !i love sharin foo wrote: ↑Fri May 17, 2024 4:29 pmIt’s funny, I’ve been playing for 30 years now and my favorite guitar, out of everything I own is my regular old, lacquer MIM ‘50s Telecaster. I know! I promise I never intended for it to be like this I still rotate through everything but that Telecaster is just ‘right’. Like your favorite pair of jeans.Dave wrote: ↑Sat May 18, 2024 10:16 amI must say that I found this interesting, considering the options you have at your disposal Justin. Re: Forgot how much I love Teles, AKA Tele Appreciation Thread
That one on the left is dangerously good looking. The root cause of about 6 months of not necessarily casual tele browsing.
This one is also awesome. I know someone who has an idea for a '59 prototype kind of vibe Jaguar and this would go perfectly with that if it ever comes to fruition.
