"Liek stee moanin' ludlow" ...Buzz writes the best lyrics.
I love the Melvins too but I'm probably one of the few here that actually likes other "heavy" stuff. Anyone heard of The Fucking Champs?

Re: theuuu melvins ?
I saw the Melvins in Dallas, they opened for NIN (don't ask me why I wnet to see NIN). No on in the crowd knew who they where except me, it was funny. The crowd was actually booing them, and throwing stuff on stage. Buzz was telling them that the more they threw onstage the more they were going to play, and they played the whole show dodging stuff. The arena had all this plywood on the floor covering up the Ice where they play Hockey, so the crowd started tearing that up and throwing huge chunks of wood at them. The whole time I was like, "You F@$#ing Idiots! You are standing at the feet of a legend, and you throw the floor at him." I think that was probably the worst crowd I have ever seen. I almost blew my brains out during the intermition before NIN, they were playing David Bowie and I heard som dumb girls asking who it was and could they turn it off!
Why should we buy postage stamps? We can make our own.

Re: theuuu melvins ?
Here's my funny Melvin's story...
Around 1990 I was in a club in Pensacola to see the Melvins. I guess the people who booked the show though they were a metal band so they had this cheesy metal band open for them. A good friend at the time was friends with the singer in said cheesy metal band and had apparantly copied the Nirvana bleach for him. Turns out his band liked the album so much they decided to cover Negative Creep but they did it a decidedly lame thrashy metal style. So anyway, Buzzo was playing pool and immediately stopped upon hearing this atrocity, went and grabbed the rest of the band from the dressing room and they all watched and chuckled. I alwasy thought that was pretty funny knowing that they were pretty close with Kurt and company and especially since this was prior to the Teen Spirit blowup.
Second funny bit.. They were SO FRIGGEN LOUD I had to put cigarette butts in my ears just to be able to stand in the room and listen to the show. Ordinarily I would have found that really annoying but then The Melvins are a band you really want to feel as much as hear I'd say.
