Re: Setup of the day
It just got here a week ago. I just finished swapping a couple pots, a new quad of Winged C EL34s and a couple other odds and ends. It sounds amazing. It's a lot like the '76 Overdrive 120 that I have, but it has a good bit more gain. With the gain and volume controls maxed out (yes, it's VERY loud!!), it has enough gain that you don't need a fuzz box. But what's the fun in that? Heheheh.noirengineer wrote: holy sh*t -- when did you get a green?

Hehehe, don't force me to hook up two Oranges and a Matamp simultaneously!! Hahaha.exhausted wrote: 10 or 15 more champs and we'll win the wattage wars.
Not many people know this, but for a long time I ran a Musicmaster bass amp (an early one with 6AQ5A output tubes) and a pair of silverface Champs (one Vibro-, one regular) They sounded great to be sure. I just got to the point where I was feeling really limited by having any less than a massive bass response.
Keep 'em coming everybody!!

a friend of mine does that too but only with one VC. i do similar things with my POD x3. it's fun and really is greater than the sum of the parts.i love sharin foo wrote:

Re: Setup of the day
i didn't take a picture of it yet.. but right now -- i'm easy..
old photos -- but bare with me. use a little imagination here.
ELEMENT A:
+
ELEMENT B: Yet ---> Remove the hendrix sticker, blue fdbck looper, and the yardbox fuzz
and I think i've found my favorite mix of modern and old.. and classic sounds with lots of mojo.
it's been like that for 2 months already -- it's really working out nicely right now.. it sounds perfect 2gether.

Re: Setup of the day
Got some sort of dodgey gig tonight. I'm not that motivated to leave the house with the snow, sub-zero temperatures and all.
I'll probably leave the SMMH home so the wah can fit in the box.

Re: Setup of the day
Here's mine, I added my SMM w/ Haz at the end of my usual chain for some sound on sound looping zaniness. Just popped an Eminence Swamp Thang into the Blues Jr and am loving the change, lots more low end and clean headroom for me pedalzzz. Also been recording a lot with this setup.
