Fender Jaguar switch mod

Post by vydrysek65 » Wed Mar 12, 2025 1:47 pm

So I came up with this ultimate Jaguar switch mod. What do you think? Would it be possible to wire it? https://flic.kr/p/2qRDQR1

I'm no expert but I'm not sure this would all work together, plus you would need a custom rhythm plate made for the three-way Mustang-style switches.

The Mustang switches could fit in the standard RC plate with an adapter/spacer... But...

There's a switch for the RC but no longer any RC controls.

The Mustang switches can be made to do series/parallel with just the two 3-way switches without losing any other combinations.

As such, you have two switches on the main selector plate that don't do anything anymore.

There is an adaptor to mount them? The plate doesn't have holes for the mounting screws.

I can't remember his username but there's somebody who's posted on here that he makes them out of circuitboard material. I feel like I've seen 3D printed versions, too.

True dat forum member Jaga, but in order to accommodate those the control cavity needs to be fully routed. Some models will require modification.
