On reading the title my initial reaction was :-X
But.. due to my shallow nature, after seeing Otis bass player sporting surf/tort im thinkin Hmm cooool 8)

I think it works pretty well. The green hues compliment the reds in the plate, and the blues hues compliment the amber in the plate. It has to be a nice tort though, none of those canned corned beef looking ones.
