Not really a “why did you do it?” thing but found a interesting Duo Sonic II that someone modded to no return. Kinda cool besides the stutter button added


Love the mosrite pickup in it. (I’m a big mosrite guy.)
Possibly a refin, what do y’all think on this?

No idea if it's a resin but the paint looks old and a with play wear. Looks like a proper player grade guitar.

It is likely...in a way it could be worth dropping the new accurate reissue ones in there and getting the real WRHB sound.

Why? The fake WRHB's sound MUCH better than the crappy CuNiFe pickups that the 1970s correctly rejected leading Fender to discontinue them for decades. I can't even call them overrated. They are overpriced junk that have been used in literally .0001% of hit recordings over the past 50 years.

You know that the originals were actually discontinued because the other uses for CuNiFe magnets ceased to exist (for instance, speedometers changed how they work) thus making them an expensive niche product for the magnet manufacturers and an impracticality for Fender.
