Sorry.....guess I owe you a beer now?
Nahhhhh

Water under the bridge :D :D

Honestly, I'm just happy it fixed it. I was seriously doubting my skillset thinking maybe I could only paint-by-numbers. One thing this has all taught me is how the circuit works MUCH MUCH better. The amount of reading I've done, and experiments to try and fix it, are probably priceless.

All done and buttoned up for now! It needs some tidying inside really but I'll get to that later. Faceplate at some point I guess. But it sounds great, is practical and is loud as balls... thanks to Balls!

Bargain!

I need to take mine apart a little again I think. At band volumes there was a weird distortion happening once it warmed up for half an hour. I left it at the studio for now as I am busy at the moment and don't need the distraction

I just mapped it, about an hour’s drive from me.
It would be my first pcb swap, we’ll see.

i dunno if it's just my inner bassman fan coming out but..... it's only a single channel so i can't jumper it.

outside that, no notes. 10/10

Damn now I want to do a custom Hotrod amp
Me too! But I'm thinking of a single channel 1484 with just the tremolo. I had one of those amps for years in my living room and sold it thinking I'd just get a trem pedal to replace it. Went through countless tremolo pedals and nothing sounded anything like that 1484 and I ended up buying another 1484.

Or maybe one of the bigger octal Fender tweeds?
