Re: your effects setup?
For better or worse, I do suppose you can blame me for suggesting the Tera Echo -- AND I STAND BY IT!
Yeah, it's a pretty cool sound. Much more applicable than first blush indicates, but still a "sometimes" pedal.
I had initially thought it was just "extended delays" as well, but as silly as it sounds, the effect it makes is a very unique sort of thing that does deserve it's own name. Something to encapsulate "increase time between repeats" and "add modulation" and "sensitive to pick attack to trigger part of the effect". Super weird, super cool.
And yeah, build the Boss board. They rule.

Re: your effects setup?
I tried the dd200 & Wampler metaverse this week. Both appear to be turn the dial to get the different sounds. The Boss sounded better to my ears, although neither left me hugely excited.Shadoweclipse13 wrote: ↑Sat Dec 23, 2023 12:16 amHave you tried the DD200 or the RV200 in person yet?
Big pain on both units seems to be recalling saved presets - you can’t do it from the footswitches. You might be able to do it with the Boss, but will require some menu trickery. Or require a 2-button external switch to move backwards & forwards.
The DD-200 has a TE-2 setting!
It does almost exactly what I want, yet it’s slightly too complex & doesn’t allow me to move between 3 sounds at the click of a button. I might actually go back to the Flashback X4, despite the massive footprint
You know, I only just discovered the TE-2 has a hold function the other day
I have nothing to offer anybody, except my own confusion?

The current state of the union:

It's probably pretty obvious, but fuzz, boost, and delay are my thing.

Re: your effects setup?
I’m jealous that yours has the knobs and everything labeled. I was originally going to get a black one but Analogmike told me they were only stamping with a Sunface, no labels or anything. So I went with gold and lo and behold, no labels there either It sounds too good to care anyway, but I was a little disappointed. High gain bass tuned Beano and high gain GE in the Sunface

Weird about the labelling, the hybrid RCA/NKT one I special ordered gold with the same stamp had labelling but it was a bit different:i love sharin foo wrote: ↑Sun Jan 21, 2024 7:18 amI’m jealous that yours has the knobs and everything labeled. But yes, sound is all that matters!

Re: your effects setup?
That's not normally how I have it set, but at the end of our last gig I did some kind of helicopter noise thing, with the CE-5 maxed out as well. Choppy and seasick
Thanks! I've had an all-Boss board for many years (with varying pedals), but I had the NUX Tape Core on there for the past year or so, and things just haven't felt quite right. It's really nice to be back on track.
