Got this amp today from Amazon. Plugged it in, went through the 4 presets, played with the bass, mid, treble, master and all sounded like garbage. So i initiated a return..
Took a nap, woke up and remembered the amp had an app, so I downloaded it and tried their presets and yeah, it started sounding like an amp. You can edit them too, make them louder, adjust bass, treble, mid effects and stuff. They can be saved as a new preset or they can overwrite the original.
It is pretty cool actually, it connects via Bluetooth to my phone so I can live my generation x/y rocking out fantasies, by playing along to YouTube videos.
Does ok as bass amp for home playing solo... So yeah, I cancelled the return.

Re: Spark 40
Oddly, I was shocked at how good the presets on my Spark Go are. I practically live on preset 2 and tweaked 1 and 3 to my tastes but they weren't far off. Not sure if the 40 gets the same presets as the Go.

Re: Spark 40
I’ve got a Go. I think it’s ace for quick household friendly headphone practice. I’ve set the presets up to mimic the what my real set up is.
Seeing as 90% of my playing time is spent with headphones on and I’m not very patient with “setting up” I think the go is amazing.
Not sure I’d bother with a bigger one to play “out” though.

Sayonara Mr Spark 40. Good riddance... I shipped it back.
This amp had a weird very unnatural sort of abrupt decay in a lot of the modes. The idea is good. Wasn't particularly farty either. Has potential.. Maybe new firmware, and also maybe a natural uncoloured mode as an option.

I'm wondering if the one you got wasn't on the latest firmware or something because your description of it doesn't sound right.Fiddy wrote: ↑Sun Nov 12, 2023 10:46 amSayonara Mr Spark 40. Good riddance... I shipped it back.
