Ah he sounds like a cool guy. I'm very inspired by the amount of people on this site who make their own gear.

He did some very interesting mongrel guitars. :D The body came in and I set parts on it to kind of see how it should look. I forgot to order string ferrules so I need to get on that... LOL

To wet sand or not... Part of me wants to keep it as is....

I'd get it all together, set it up and then make the decision. It deserves to have a nicer finish. Andrew did me a favor by doing the amber and clear coat to make things go quicker.

That is a fair point. I will probably level sand it and clean it up as best I can. :)

For some reason he popped into my head like a day ago. Weird coincidence. Hope he's doing alright.

The roasted maple neck I ordered came in. Even though they don't need a finish, I like the look and feel better with a little tung oil. :)

Here is the front. :)

I got around to wet sanding the body. It went pretty well. Not perfect, but not bumpy anymore. :) I did end up sanding through a little in a few places, but I think it looks nice.

Then I shielded the inside with shielding paint.

Headstock decal applied. The neck plate is going to be pretty cool for this one. :)

Thanks! It still has those little specks in places like the deeper grain and such, but I am worried if I sand it more, it will totally go through. LOL It feels amazing! Very very smooth. :D
