I'd go for the green :? .
It even comes with my favorite frets.

I'd really like the green if they hadn't pre-destroyed the finish. I don't need unrealistic wear patterns on my guitars.

Those look wild.

Coda has a great range, and have cool stuff in regularly, but I'll never buy from them again after a poor experience buying from them in 2021. I wanted to treat myself to a Custom Shop for my 40th and the salesman couldn't have been any less enthusiastic about it at all...it felt like I'd bought a £3500 set of strings. I know it's silly but I'd like some level of ceremony when spending that level of money. I don't even think he said thank you.

Anyway, I digress. All those colours are sick.

They are £5k. And have a 10” radius :(

There’s a purple sparkle lefty that I saw this morning. I kinda wanted it.
I have nothing to offer anybody, except my own confusion?

Also for that kinda dough they should have RSD bridges.

I don’t know who “relicted” those nice sparkly guitars, but they should never be allowed near a guitar again.

I’m not a fan of fake relics in general, but at least show some creativity and artistic ability on a $5k CS guitar.

Not only is the wear not realistic but it’s the same spots on every guitar on their IG. Have they ever seen a real vintage guitar? How “custom” is it if only the colors change? Everything else, including the scraps and scratches is the same.

Like a Bieber haircut from Fantastic Sam’s FFS.

Those could sound great, but I want to punt whoever vandalized them in the ballsack.

I don't really care for relics, but slating them has been done to death since their inception. I just wish they'd do it better.

Fender should just hire Danocaster for $300k to come teach their workforce how to do it properly FFS.

When did adding patina and fake wear become a rat gnawing off your paint?

Yeah, I know it's beating a dead horse on this one, but my point was more what you said - I wish they'd do it better. That's why I said I don't need unrealistic wear patterns on my guitar, not that I don't need wear. I've owned/built a couple of guitars with some amount of wear to the finish, but scraping off a bunch of spots along the edges isn't how you do that.

Also, I'd never want a sparkle relic like this. I'm just imagining all the little bits of glitter coming off the edges they've chipped into the finish and getting stuck to my clothes and the inside of the case. I want that stuff sealed and immobilized.

Agreed. What an incredibly dumb thing to do to any guitar. What idiot first said, "Make mine pre-damaged!"? Was it Keith Richards? Someone has to pay for the past 25 years of shitty relic jobs for sale everywhere.

::)

Sure, I totally agree that relicing is stupid. But complaining about it is such a pointless endeavor to me. It's not really any different than buying a used guitar. The bigger issue is the price anyway.

This is just pretend time. Fill in the missing paint with your mind, and pick a color.

Relic-ing, well-executed or not, looks particularly awful on this kind of sparkle finish, I think. I think that type of finish is best kept pristine as possible.
