Re: Cross Guitars - projects and restorations
Test fitting everything and trying out the tremolo.
It's pretty damn nice to play already, and I haven't even levelled the frets.
Still loads more clear coat to go on the body and I still can't decide on pickups.

How about these for pickups?

They would look great (assuming you like the goldfoil sound).

I would do Trisonic-style pickups in that. Looks great.

Looks like they are out of stock but yeah, the guy I'm building this for is going for that kind of sound.smjenkins wrote: ↑Thu Feb 10, 2022 8:52 pmHow about these for pickups?

That looks so good! Arguably the best way to get / stay swol.

Re: Cross Guitars - projects and restorations
The Mavlander has landed.
It's all wired up and ready to go.
The owner wanted black pickup covers but when he saw the white covers, he liked them also.
So I'm going to pop the black covers on and see which ones he prefers. (I like the white ones)

The Contessuar body is just about done!
Couldn't resist stringing it up to see it somewhat complete.

Re: Cross Guitars - projects and restorations
Wow, that's super cool. It looks kind of weird (like very unusual) to me with the bridge pickup so far away from the bridge but then again it makes a lot of sense tonally and must sound wonderful for sure. Good work!
