Re: Offset porn feed
I really, really like it. Was slightly concerned that the 'A' neck might feel a little cramped but its actually super comfortable. I've had a Mastery bridge sat around for a few years since I swopped my main JM out to a Staytrem, so put that on here and its a big improvement. Had to massage the nut slots a bit too to try and make the tremolo come back to pitch and its as good as I've ever managed to get a Mustang trem to be now. Still never been able to set one up to work as well as a JM tremolo system though but I'm probably missing something.
Oh and added a Moomin sticker

I was exactly the same and, now I'm used to it, really love the narrow nut. So easy to 'thumb over' root notes. I seem to be forever trying to get mine to be vibrato stable and it's a crazy balancing act and probably just one of those idiosyncrasies that never has a proper solution. I just try to be gentle with it.gishuk wrote: ↑Wed Sep 08, 2021 3:41 amI really, really like it. I saw that little sneaky one there actually, nice touch. I'm a big fan of stickers on guitars. Coincidentally I tattooed a Moomins piece on someone a week or two ago and it was on old-school OSGer Timhulios' wife! She also has a rather wonderful 64/65 Daphne Blue Mustang
Silly Rabbit, don't you know scooped mids are for kids?

Re: Offset porn feed
I have to post pictures AND talk dirty?
They're both '08 Thin Skins from Wildwood. I sold the BMM and kept the Shoreline which is now dressed in white and has vintage pickups, '66 in the neck position and '59 in the bridge. I had planned to use the pickups for something else but used them here in the meantime because beveled pole pieces cause me an unreasonable amount of mental discomfort.
Some days I love the white and some days it's too much. What say you?

Re: Offset porn feed
Thanks for letting your guard down.
The white guard makes it look more like a '65 with the non-fading guards they adopted then. I like the mint better as it looks more CBS-era.
I cannot wait until Spitfire unleashes his celluloid mint guards. Your shoreline JM would be the perfect candidate.

Yeah, that's good advice. I originally had WD cut the white guard for a matching headstock d+b JM project I've been kicking around forever, the same thing I bought these pickups for, but slapped it on here for a change. Maybe I'll have WD cut a mint guard with the proper bevel for me as they're not too much and I really prefer the correct bevel.
