Loving this thread y'all. This makes me all the more excited for all the parts to come in for a partscaster I'll be building. It'll be a 25.5" scale Mustang with a Tele bridge and a JM Neck p/u!

Jaguar with Creamery "baby 71" WRHBs. I love this set-up.
I am tempted to swap the Ant I's on my jazzmaster to WRHB.

Wait, where did you post that? I must have missed it! I know the pickups came in but didn't see you had them up and running. Looks great! Do they sound like you hoped?Surfysonic wrote: ↑Wed Aug 18, 2021 11:59 amThanks! I'm loving it! My first ever set of Firebird pickups, too!

It was thrown in my "Squier Paranormal Cyclone Pickups Upgrade Recommendations" thread in Mods & Projects (viewtopic.php?f=8&t=119812&start=15). I had done a lot of mods with guitars around that time, heh.mbene085 wrote: ↑Wed Aug 18, 2021 3:51 pmWait, where did you post that? I must have missed it! They sound great! As I described to Josh (Riorio), they sound to me like cleaner, chimey P90s. As these are my first Firebird pickups, I only can compare to what I hear on YouTube demos. Tone-wise, a sweet P90s tone to me. Really happy it all came together for a relatively low-budget build all things considered.
The only downside to the experience was the almost 2-month wait getting them through customs in LA. Totally understand that US Customs and the USPS are still swamped and playing catch up, so it's really just my sad 1st world problem.
The used Fender Player Mustang came with Lollar P90s that sound AMAZING - I can't wait to figure out what future build to put them in.
Also, it's my first Burgundy Mist guitar. All the beautiful flowers in the UK gardening shows - Gardener's World (England) & Beechgrove (Scotland) - that my wife and I watch have really got me appreciating a wider color pallette.

This cute little 'stang has Rose strat pickups but they are staggered on the backside so 'stang covers still fit . Alder with alder top, this puppy really rings.
One of the first guitars I built. Chambered Ash body, bubinga top (even chambered it's pretty heavy). GFS vintage wound JM in the neck, Surf 90 in the bridge position. Old pic, has chrome hardware now.

I just finished this one as a gift for a friend. GFS Surf 180 pickups, which are kind of a humbucking Dynasonic. The body is pine and made by Rosser. Neck from a Squier Classic Vibe Mustang. Lacquer finish.

What is that color? It almost looks like a dark copper.Tweedledee wrote: ↑Thu Aug 19, 2021 6:47 pmI just finished this one as a gift for a friend. It's actually charcoal gray. That photo is out in the sun, but here's one of it inside:Shadoweclipse13 wrote: ↑Fri Aug 20, 2021 3:01 amWhat is that color?
