What's up with the J Bass headstock, is that solid rosewood? I drooled over that option while it was available in the mod shop.

If you click the link, it says it's a roasted (presumably maple) neck.Singlebladepickup wrote: ↑Mon Jul 19, 2021 5:51 amWhat's up with the J Bass headstock, is that solid rosewood? I drooled over that option while it was available in the mod shop.
The artist formerly known as mbene085.

Oh no! I don't have $1,250 for a Jag-stang but I'll find $1,200 for the orange competition Mustang. (Plus shipping, import duties etc.)

Any mention of left handed models? Not that I need another Japanese offset.
I have nothing to offer anybody, except my own confusion?

I wonder if that orange Mustang will make its way to Europe? The price will be bonkers anyway at nearly double that of a vintera.

My only question is why are they doing roasted maple in the traditional series and not the modern or hybrid series?
That being said I absolutely love my limited edition (pink paisley) MIJ Jazzmaster.

Who’s a reputable MIJ importer these days?

Re: Fender Japan 2021 limited edition
I think the LPB Jaguar I bought from GAK last month is part of this line up. Judging from that, the quality of MIJ offsets has gone way up recently. The pots, electrics and pick ups are US standard... and the finish was never an issue. Absolutely stunning guitars and not far off my AV65 JM at all.

Is there a US-friendly site that offers these for sale? I'm intrigued by the black Jaguar as well and wondering how it might compare with the Vintera 60s OTM.

Re: Fender Japan 2021 limited edition
so classy. All of those guitars look outstanding
I especially enjoy seeing nice rosewood fretboards. this to me is what fender are supposed to look like. Such a contrast to the 2021 MIM fender player guitars thread in the non-offset forum.
I don't get why the mexican ones now are predominantly maple necks with the odd overly pale pau ferro model.

Re: Fender Japan 2021 limited edition
Based on comments in another thread, I have an email into Ishibashi to see if either the Mustang or the Jaguar are available to be shipped to the US.
