yeah, no back cavity, i'm going to have to feed everything in with string like on a hollow body (i guess this is a hollow body ).

Re: dano-bobkat project
got to a "close enough" point with the finish, did a few layers of matte clear, and got the rest to 99%.
ignore the nut being glued in place, that's the 1% i have left to do:
i'll also get better pictures once i get that last step finished up.

Re: dano-bobkat project
nut's cut– still needs a bit of work on the low-e and a strings, but it's the first i've ever cut and i think i did pretty okay overall. point is that it's playing, it plays great, it sounds awesome– i'm in the middle of recording what will hopefully be an album and will try and get some clips later today.
anyways, here's what it looks like in some proper lighting:

Re: dano-bobkat project
i'm toying around with what that would look like. i was hoping i might find some cool old bobcat or lynx badge from something or another... or, i've been wondering what using a larger enamel pin might look like. long and short is that i haven't found the right thing yet, but it does look a bit vacant without something, especially now that i've stuck a few extra holes in it

About the pin idea...I never got around to it but you can get this amazing vintage Russian bird enamel pins on ebay that I was going to put on one of mine but never did. I think if you find the 'right' one, itll look great:

Just search for "Russian Bird Pin" or "Russian Bird Enamel" and there's plenty
Silly Rabbit, don't you know scooped mids are for kids?

dang, this is sick. only thing I might have gone for would be a mirrored pickguard, but only for sake of tradition. this one looks cooler

I love the enamel pin idea for a headstock logo. Would fit this one really well.

i should probably just snag it, but i feel like a namebadge should go next to it, and unfortunately not many badged things were named after medium-small cats
thanks, i'm happy with how that specific part turned out tooSinglebladepickup wrote: ↑Thu Jul 22, 2021 5:14 pmdang, this is sick. only thing I might have gone for would be a mirrored pickguard, but only for sake of tradition. this one looks cooler
