This looks great, and yeah I love the middle position on a Tele too.
With some other guitars heavier is ok and even preferable, but to me a Tele needs to be on the lighter side to have that woody snap.

Update! Now with a neck pickup! I installed a set of Bootstrap pickups, a Palo Duro bridge and a Pretzel neck. The Pretzel sounds great, very stratty. But I'm not quite decided on the bridge pickup yet. It's a bit too bright for me I think, does the classic 60's Tele thing in spades, but I might be a more overwound, Broadcaster type guy. But that also veers into a similar tonal place as my LP. So I need to do some thinking.

Looks great. That body relicing is just right, nice worn in but not over the top. Great combo down to the strap.

agreed on the relic job, that's one of the reasons I went for this one, it was one of MJT's eBay specials. It just feels worn in and played. Sounds awesome too. And goddamn, do I love the strap. Souldier straps are the best.
