Total flocker
https://portland.craigslist.org/mlt/msg ... 50615.html
I have a feeling we've talked about this one before...
What are we thinking? Price doesn't seem too bad even if parts of it ARE fake!

Re: Total flocker
Well, the non-matching B & B neck plus the sunglasses case is a pretty good start. I love those cases!
You think you can't, you wish you could, I know you can, I wish you would. Slip inside this house as you pass by.

Leo sold the company in 1965, he wasn’t at Fender in 1968.
What’s ‘prototype’ about it?
Looks like a parts guitar with a refin. Story is complete BS.

Re: Total flocker
I remember this one popping up a few years back. It was a similarly dumb but different-in-the-details story about it being a prototype or whatever. There’s a thread somewhere.
Edit: only two years ago.

Re: Total flocker
What the FLOCK?
Passing along the last seller's batshit crazy (fake) story, with "according to the last owner..." is never an excuse. We all know it's a load of crap.
It's just a random collection of parts, with a hideous homemade flocked finish, housed in a rather cool Bullwin sunglasses case (that's the best part!).
In 1968, Leo Fender was off enjoying his fortune, not messing about with a flocked Jazzmaster made of mismatched parts. And the Foxx Tone Machine wasn't invented until 1972.

No way! I have a Harmony Colorkat with the same terrible affliction (hopefully the photo link works):
Can't be a coincidence surely? *Two* people in this world daft enough to spray their guitars with red velvet?

I would so rock that it isn't true!
Anyway, Leo was still a consultant for CBS for quite some time after selling - perhaps this was his revenge?
