Is this a lifestyle brand for people that want that "the sum is less than the whole of its parts" look?

Posting craigslist's links is never good. They're always very short lived.

it's back. youtube recommends this to me all the time and i hate it. i honestly think the guitar looked better in orange than the burst he did.

Has this been mentioned before?

He starts with good intentions and then it just goes downhill.
Bursts never look great out of the can. And the way he cut the pickguard looks terrible.

Also, my personal peeve is that he didn't try and tidy up the cavities, instead he made them even worse with a chisel! :fp:

Just relieved he left the neck alone.

That's just dreadful... I know it's *only* a musicmaster but it's still a 50 year old Fender at this point. Why not paint it in that eggshell blue colour some of them came in and have it look cool and original. Even a well executed version of what he was trying for would have looked shit

Without wanting to derail the thread, what are the main downsides to an aerosol burst?
I might actually start a new thread on this as it's something I've been mulling over for years & I may finally have the space to do it.
You think you can't, you wish you could, I know you can, I wish you would. Slip inside this house as you pass by.

I'm not sure using this thread for inspiration is the right way to be using it.

It comes out splattery. Using an actual spray gun and compressor, you get a much better result and you can control the level of paint coming out of the nozzle.
But yeah, would be a good topic for another thread.

These motherfuckers are seriously trying to speed up the end of the world with this shit. Just the worst

This music master bass is as good, cool and vintage as they come. It’s had some mod work done to it, but all in the 70s with original parts done by the incredible craftsman in the 70’s, this thing is all 70’s mojo. It’s in incredible shape for its age and sounds/plays absolutely amazingly. It was owned by the touring manager for the ventures and was likely used as a touring instrument for them. This thing has story and vibe and will be an excellent addition to your collection! There’s no other bass like this out there. I’ll try and find a case or bag to ship it in but no original case. Enjoy! One quirk about the mods they did in the 60’s, the tone knob doesn’t work at all, but it doesn’t change the sound of the instrument at all and I’m sure you could wire something in if you’d like. Ships insured for everyone’s sake. No returns accepted on this item, wear is shown in pictures (determine your own condition but it appears excellent to me)
In true Leo Fender fashion, the neck plate was reused from a 60’s bass (hence the serial number).
Has one dead feet (last pic) and could use a setup for some of the slight fret buzz from its age. Audible rattle in the tuners, doesn’t effect playability, tone or when the instrument is plugged in, just when it’s unplugged
Can’t possibly stress this enough - go fuck yourself guy
