Again, extremely impressed with what y’all can manage with a cassette 4 track.

Groovy track. Did you do anything to it after bouncing it to digital? Also, did you spring for a type II or IV tape. I'm about to dust off my 4 track to make demo version of my next album. I'm a little daunted, but clearly by what you've got here, it's doable.
If it wasn't for disappointment, I wouldn't have any appointments.

I bounce a mix down onto a onkyo tape deck and then bounce from there onto audacity using my shitty desktop computer and just raise the overall volume until I’m satisfied. For onkyo process it has a VU meter and i try to clip it barely red. Adds a nice grit/ sparkleseenoevil II wrote: ↑Sat Mar 20, 2021 6:03 pmGroovy track. No idea on the tape. Whatever is cheapest and most available. Becoming hard to find at thrift stores now, at least the new old stock shit.

Great stuff! 4 track recording is a blast. The power connector broke off on my 424 a while back and now they go for crazy money. Maybe eventually they'll come back down once the cassette craze dies down a bit.
