New Jazzmaster should I return it?
I bought a limited edition 2019 Fender American pro Jazzmaster comes with 1965 pure vintage jazzmaster pick ups from Reverb off a Guitar shop in Dallas. It's new and has the plastic on the pick guard but when I received it I noticed a little chip of a micro size on the paint finish near the front strap button. Originally they go for $1799 and I got 15% off so I paid $1643 with California state taxes. Now should I return it or no?

I’d ask for a partial refund if it wasn’t advertised as having a chip. If the guitar feels good and plays well I wouldn’t worry about a chip.

Depends how much you like it. PV65s aren't stock on AmPros (Vmods are) so it's had some work done on it, despite the plastic. We haven't exactly taken a poll, but I suspect many would regard PV65s as an upgrade.

Do you like the guitar? Does it play well? Does the neck seem straight and stable? Is it heavy?
Put it another way. If you were in GC, and there was this special Am Pro with Vintage pups for 15% and this "micro" paint chip, would you take it home?
See if you or your partner has a nail polish that's close.

If it wasn't for disappointment, I wouldn't have any appointments.

It's literally their only post. We'll never know. Godspeed Johnny.
