Re: Wanna hear my new song?
Neat sound, neat song.
Personally, I think the bass feels a little claustrophobic in combination with the vocals. The metronome is also a bit irritating.
Those are very minor compared to the overall song though.

So Brad was gracious enough to remix my song for me in his studio! He had an opening last night and we texted and emailed each other for a couple hours until the mix was done. I'm really appreciative of his time and support, but he brings a level of professionalism and enthusiasm that I find refreshing, and I really hope to work with him more in the future.
It was mixed in Studio B on this Neve 8058 (those are actually my tracks written out on the board).
Anyway, I'm super excited and even more grateful to Brad for being so easy to work with; he's one cool dood.
Here's a comparison of my original mix to his. I was fighting the kick, bass, Rhodes, and vocals all fighting for real estate, which made for a murky mix. Brad was able to clean it all up and let the track breathe better.

Nice work, I like the remix
and woah, Brad, I had no idea how close your studio was to me! I live and have a rehearsal space walking distance from The Bunker. I'd love to check it out sometime. Looks like a beautiful space.

Hey Brad, that ultra-subtle, whirring/humming/buzzing noise and intermittent static you added is intentional, right...?

Well THAT was obvious
Seriously though... this has been both enjoyable and educational! Thanks to both of you, for sharing. I really liked the song before - but it's great to be able to contrast the two, and see what a great mix can do!
Nice work, men.

Great job on this!
Really enjoyed the song. In fact, I've been listening to your songs all morning while I work. It's been really enjoyable! You have a great talent.
Also enjoyed the remix compare / contrast a lot. Kudos to you both!

Nice work both of you! The re-mix really got that e-kick bumpin, nice clear low end happenin'. Sounds great!

Both versions sound great. I suppose Brad's remix of it makes the track sound more completed/finished. As I've said before, I really like it! Great, great sounds you've got there.
Such talent. So wow. Much fine.
