Re: show us yer hollow/semi-hollow guitars.
This MIJ J Mascis inspired Jazzmaster is semi-hollow, without a sound hole, single, top bound and carved from northern ash.
I've been so busy with other projects that I've put this on the back burner; I need to remedy that.
on the left, a 1967 Greco 921.

Cool as. The headstock is great imo, provides reduced string angle...
Are you saying the P90s came from a Jansen guitar? Or just the pole pieces?
[/quote]
I'm used to it now and it doesn't exactly bug me.
No, just the polepieces are Jansen. Bob wound the pickups himself.

I dragged this beast out for a little action the other day, so nice acoustically even before plugging in -
(MIK 1997-2000 as far as I can tell, it has a weird serial number)

Nah, it's loaded up with two 10" speakers. I like the raggedy grill cloth too; someone told me the batch of grill cloth they used on these was defective and "don't feel bad; that they all look like that." I've seen a handful out in the wild and most of them, indeed, are all torn up.

Re: show us yer hollow/semi-hollow guitars.
I love my Silvertone 1446. Got it from a friend for $100 because he wasn't using it and he wanted someone who would play it to have it. Well, I play it. This guitar has the best pickups in the world. Crisp and clear but full range. The neck takes a bit of getting used to, as it doesn't taper wider as it goes up, but in general it's just cool as hell. Where else are you going to find a 24" scale hollow body with a bolt neck and mini-humbuckers?

Re: show us yer hollow/semi-hollow guitars.
I picked up my Musima Record archtop after a long time and I'm still pretty amazed by it, I just have to figure out the feedback in live environment (that's probably gonna take a lots of volume knob action).
more details in it's dedicated thread: viewtopic.php?f=9&t=120308&p=1687782
I'm probably gonna use it a lot this summer, because of my recent spine surgery, I have to play only lightweight guitars for some time

Re: show us yer hollow/semi-hollow guitars.
Monday was my first NGD in years, this Billie Joe Armstrong ES-137. It’s got a lot of play this week and I’m loving it. Especially the neck pickup, it’s a beautifully warm and articulate clean tone, worlds apart from my Mustang 90.
I also have a Hagstrom Viking II bass, which is great fun to play but I do need to actually get something to play it through…

Re: show us yer hollow/semi-hollow guitars.
That pictures a little bit deceiving, its had a neck break at some point in its past, although its been properly repaired.
The body is pretty clean though and its a pretty cool guitar. The neck is gigantic!
