what is it about a tele that makes them so easy to violat, er, modify? is it the simple block of wood? is it that theyve been around for 60 years? who knows!
all i know is that many of you have made delicious disgusting inspiring repulsing amazing tele creations, and i want to see them! bring me your molested, broken, beautiful monsters.

any problems putting a strat style neck in a tele pocket besides the gaps?

actually, the neck pocket had been halfway destroyed from a previous owner, and andrewdoeshair fixed it and set it up to take a strat neck, so there's no gaps.

ah, fer real? i just assumed the tape was right by the pocket to cover the gap! the "actually getting it fixed" solution is even cooler!
some day i want my beast to have the "real" trem.

I never thought I'd like a tele with a JM/jag trem on it, but I think I kind of like it on the 70s custom. hmmm.
I am a big fan of the 70s custom / deluxe look.

My tele was an esquire for 12 years. I can't believe I lived without the second pickup for so long.

what is that neck pickup?
also, eurotrashed, that is pretty much a straight up prototype for a blacktop tele. (in a better color)

The tape is just there because the pickguard is cut up from the former trashed pocket. Another thing our teles share is having a teisco pickup in them. I really like the teisco style red burst on yours too.

I think the bigger Custom pickguard balances out the vibrato, whereas it would probably look more awkward with a standard guard.
secndshft, your tele looks really cool with the goldfoil in the neck; how does it sound?

Too many deliciously fucked up teles!

They tried to give me advice, down at the record shop. I said "Sit down boys, this may come as a SHOCK. But alls I listen to, it's all freedom rock."
