Anyone else infatuated with their Acoustic?

For guitars of the straight waisted variety (or reverse offset).

I found a temporary cure for this guitar. I put it in open C. And now I like it a lot more 8)

If it's working for you in open C you might want to keep it around for that reason alone, my experience is not all guitars shine in such a low tuning. Not just from a setup point of view, but some guitars just get flabby sounding on the low notes and such.
Back in those days, everyone knew that if you were talking about Destiny's Child, you were talking about Beyonce, LaTavia, LeToya, and Larry.

The brightness of the tone works well. But I still don’t like the guitar. It’s given me bad vibes. I feel bad, it didn’t do anything wrong. It’s just not for me, even though it sounds absolutely pretty good.

Will make sure I do a quick downtune test on the bottom strings when I get around to visiting & playing some in a shop. Thanks for the tip.

Sure. We've all been there. It's like love, you can take an absolutely fantastic person and yet they aren't for you but you date them for a period of months anyway mainly because a of a breakup and you've been drinking more than you should but you have been playing a little tennis but not hitting the gym like you should and that membership wasn't cheap and anyway you are just dragging her around because you are afraid to be alone but you don't love her and you don't know if you'll love anyone again and it's hard to open the mail these days and...

Wait, what? Jesus. Kind of lost myself for a moment.

Anyway, someone else will love her. The guitar! Someone else will love the guitar.

Fuck.

Thanks. But my guitars and myself are doing OK these days- that was just a joke. When I was mired in my problems I was not finding much humor in them, so my making jokes is a good sign.

But thanks though.

I’m just about getting over my split from gf of 8 years. And now I’ve got a guitar I don’t love. I’m done for :(

Not to get all Gear Page and shit, but there ain't no accounting for women, but getting a guitar you do love will certainly cheer you up.

I feel that this is a rite of passage. My first proper invoice from my new business will go out at the end of the month. I need a new MacBook & phone. But that’s as much for tax. A guitar. Now, that would be something to celebrate…

I did, I got a couple new acoustics and a Thunderbird. That only gets me back to where I was, though, I sold two acoustics and a bass.

Better than selling two children and a bass, tbf.

I wish I did something creative in the traditional sense. I can’t even really explain what I do; consulting, designing training and comms campaigns for businesses. Like marketing, without proper budgets.

Well, I'm sure you can find a way to write off against your taxes a guitar as a 'prop' or 'research material'....there's lots of sneaky ways hahaa

I did it last year by buying a guitar & using it as a reference to draw a tattoo design :D :D
