I would have to agree. I think a Bigsby is the way to go. They just look so right on a Tele.Dr. Teeth wrote:i think a bigsby is the only trem that looks proper on a tele.

Re: Which Trem for Tele?
I have the standard Bigsby with the Mustang bridge on mine, and it works great. I'm not using the Warmoth Mustang bridge. I'm using the old one with the small radius, and I filed down the bottoms of the middle saddles to flatten the radius to make it work for a Tele neck. Very effective, and no saddle screws to worry about.

Here's one that I did a few years ago, just in case you need more convincing that a Bigsby is the way to go.

Another vote for Bigsby, though I'd swap out the Bigsby bridge for a Mustang bridge.

Wow, that looks awesome!blueavenger wrote:I'm in love with the new Vibramate for tele My esquire already had the holes drilled, so I just slapped on a B-5, ground the back of the standard bridge, and went with it, but if not, I would have been on this like a plate of ribs! http://www.vibramate.com/vibramate-v5te-install.html

Re: Which Trem for Tele?
i'm installing a bigsby B16 into my tele, as we speak. it looks killer, and i guess it will also feel and sound that way... but the installation is a major PITA.
i need to shim the neck about 5mm (that's a LOT). no instructions included (the wrong ones).
oh well, i'll post a complete review once it's done today or tomorrow.

I know Bigsbys LOOK better but I'd much rather have a Jazzy trem on a tele.
Does anyone know I can buy the floating bridge plates on their own?

Randomly found this online and amsookwinder wrote: ↑Fri Jul 31, 2009 4:11 amIn all seriousness a strat floating 2 point trem (with vintage style saddles) , which fender now use in the 2008/9 AmStd Strat, works superbly on my tele thinline build. Continuous divebombs (not that I do that) and it is still in tune.
Plus it doesn't make the tele arse look too cluttered.
Bumping this thread for no good reason other than to say holy fucking shit this is an awesome Tele and I wish I owned it. Great work, seriously!
