Re: Applause Strat copies
I have, what I think to be, a very unique Applause Stratocaster, in that it's SSS, doesn't have the Floyd Rose trem but does have a rosewood fingerboard. I've done some research online and cannot find any similar styles. I'm curious if anyone else has ever seen this before?
It was my first guitar (bought for $85.00 in '89) and I loved it so much, it became my preferred axe for playing live and recording (my other being a MIM Fender Strat). It plays like a dream, has excellent tone and amazing action. About a year ago, the electronics started conking out on me and it was heavily beaten from the gigging. It needed some love, so I decided to rebuild it from scratch. I removed all the old finish and paint, discovered that it was a plywood body, and fixed all the dings. I was looking for a serial number with no luck. I finished the body and am now moving into the electronics phase, replacing the original pups with Fender Texas pups. We'll see how that goes.
I'm glad I held on to this guitar. It's a beaut! Lol.
I'm also trying to add images, but having trouble. Any help would be appreciated and hope to hear back from some of you about this amazing guitar!

Re: Applause Strat copies
One way to put images is to get a Dropbox account and put the picture in the public folder. The picture will then have a web address and you can post that.
Here is an example when you put the image on the public drop box folder and then right click on the image and click on copy public link
When you paste the public link you have to click on Img above and insert it into the two img symbols above
to get

You have to use an image hosting site, such as Flickr or Photo Bucket.

Re: Applause Strat copies
I had one for a short time. I found it for like $40 at the swap meet and It had a nice maple neck, I never knew these guitars were 25” inch scale necks, I didn’t realize till I tried to swap necks on a different guitar. It actually was not a bad playing guitar at all, I saved the neck, it will go on one of my builds
