What kind of pickups are these on this modded Coronado?
What kind of pickups are these? They are not the typical Coronado pickups and searching Google for various terms isn't yielding any leads.

Those look really cool. I would be shocked if they aren't something DeArmond made for Fender.
I have a couple early 70s Fender catalogs, I'll see if anything sticks out.

Ah you are getting the same frustrations I've been having trying to figure it out!
These pickups are not original to this Coronado, as the Coronado's original pickups were in the case.
I've searched all kinds of keyword combinations (Fender dynasonics, dearmond, fender F logo pickups, fender hollow bodies, fender jazz box, etc.) to no avail.
The good news is, the guitar is on its way to me, and once it arrives I can take close up photos and also photos of the underside. I was hoping someone would recognize these.

I almost wonder if it's some kind of custom Hilotron?

This thread is riveting. Do they look like they might be modern prototypes or do they have a "been around the block" vibe that vintage hardware tends to get? The photo makes them look older.

Well those Chinese reissues had Filtertron Pickups, hadn‘t they? And I can‘t remember another Coronado from the last 20 years…
I don‘t know these pickups either - so I‘m very intrigued to learn about them once you can examine it in person.
My personal guess is that it‘s something like a P90 sized P-Rail Pickup… has it any switches besides a 3-way pickup selector?

I wonder if they’re something modern with 3D printed inserts and some aging. They’re P90-shaped, but look to have tabs for mounting to a pickguard. To my knowledge that was not thing until more recently.
McNelly for example offers several P90 shaped humbuckers with that style of surround and tabs as an option.

Tracking still shows "UPS waiting for package".
I should have it here in a few days and we can either figure it out or be more perplexed! I'm excited

Ah. Ok.
My understanding is this style of insert is just a flat piece of stock, like with this recycled skateboard material.
Obviously nobody is 3D printing that. It just needs to have openings in the right places.
Can’t see enough detail of the F logos to tell much about it, but that could have been done any number of ways.
