Nothing is known of it officially, but someone on reverb accidentally leaked one of the commemorative models, the ET212T Sheraton, with Tremotone tailpiece. At 1300$ it's not cheap (for a Chinese made guitar), but quality will probably be top-notch, if the recent Epiphones are anything to go by.




Here's to me hoping they'll revamp more of their iconic models at a somewhat affordable pricepoint... Rivoli, I'm looking at you!

I played one of those recently in a shop and it was super tempting. Got sold pretty quick.

Isn't it one of the 50th Anniversary 1962 models released back in 2012?

Honestly, I'd just like to get a spare logo plate for the headstock of old G-310, as it's my first guitar and I love the plate + plastic tuners on those vintage coronets.

No, because the case is different (there is another picture of it with 1873-2023 on it)

Maybe they'll finally do a proper Beatlesy USA '65 VS Casino to mark the occasion. Surely I'm not the only one shaking their head at the black plastic pick-up covers?

To do a proper Beatles Casino you’ll have to remove the scratchplate & get rid of that awful tone-destroying finish too

kinda surprised they don't already do a natural style USA Casino.

feels pretty unlikely they'd go back to the nickel covered pickups since they just switched the royal tan ones to also get the black plastic pickups.

It is ruder and louder, and frankly hand on heart, it is better sounding than the bridge pickup on the SG which is smoother and a bit more refined.

To be fair they are different sounds...but the Coronet is louder acoustically and resonates more....and just rocks more.

Both guitars are cool, but in different ways.

You mean more Gibson mid-late 60s?

This one is fairly normal width, so definitely not that narrow...I could get the calliper out if you want a measurement for reference.

You mean more Gibson mid-late 60s?

This one is fairly normal width, so definitely not that narrow...I could get the calliper out if you want a measurement for reference.

Yeah, the narrow nut era is more my thing, like the mid-60s SGs when they were closer to a Fender width. I think these are listed as 43mm and my ideal is 40-41mm. Doesn't sound a lot until my thumb maxes out and can't hook over how I like to play. That 2mm is make or break for me.

Oh yes, even minor things like the extra 2mm change the feel for sure.

One interesting thing I was thinking about the other day is how Fender-like the neck width on my Firebird is.

Having spent so many years playing Fenders it feels so familiar
