Yes, Zen-On. Same manufacturer as Morales Mosrite copies.

Only made in the 70s i believe.

Sorry :D

I found the original merchant listing pretty quick with Google lens.

I really like how the wrapping on the strings looks like it's made of Muppet hair yarn.

I hope it's a great bass!

That's why I posted the pic, we weren't getting anywhere :D

Hope it is a great bass too. Japanese instruments rarely disappoint though... Unless we're talking entry level..

Made by Zen-On. Headstock says Roje, some say Roje, some say Zen-On, and some say both...

Cool instrument The pickups make it sound like somewhere in between a bass and a guitar.

I ordered some 45-105 flatwound strings. Even though it sounds great with chorus and distortion or fuzz with the current ones. I just don't like the feel of them..

The mute thingy is cool, it can be raised or lowered.

The tuners are kinda crappy. I mean, they do the job , but I think this bass deserves proper better tuners...

Neck through construction btw

those are real Ric parts right? I heard some of them have the legit parts.

I love that it says Electric Bass in the Ric font. I think I want all my guitars to be that generic.

Not sure if they are Ric parts. I doubt it but, I wouldn't know. I know the tuners aren't! :D

How could i tell, and what parts? The neck pickup has long alnico poles under the hood fwiw.

A different headstock

What's the nut width on these? I love this shape of bass but have never got to trying one and can't justify the cost of a real one. If it's P-Bass width then I'm out...I like a nice skinny Jazz Bass (1.5") nut. If it's a narrow nut, and you ever want to sell it, I might be interested.
Silly Rabbit, don't you know scooped mids are for kids?

Looks like 42 mm Johny.

I do have to say, these bridges suck after having spent some time setting this thing up.

I wish the bridge had individual height adjustment. The D and the G, could use a little lowering. Probably ok, for a lot of people but i like action crazy low

Maybe a hipshot? I really like the bass and how it sounds. Would like to keep it.

I'm not sure but i think it's well documented that Japan bought a ton of parts from Ric in the 70s.
