I’m one of those weirdos who actually likes Tele headstocks, so I don’t think the neck’s an improvement (maybe if it’d had the giant CBS headstock). But that neck pickup is bound to be more interesting than a normal Tele neck pickup.

I love this, always thought the headstock of a Tele is it's worst feature.

I really regret not getting one of these when I had the chance to.

Similar vibes to my #1...never thought I was a tele guy before this but MAN. Its a featherweight pine MJT body with a US Strat neck thats been ~perfectly~ aged by Shabat Guitars. AKA I strongly approve of this axe :)

I prefer the Tele headstock.

The neck pickup is often the weak point on a Tele, but they are definitely not all bad.

Still, I’m curious about this guitar. I’d be interested to try one at some point.

You've almost got a Joe Messina spec Tele right there.

.

That would be a great combo.

Of all the Bridge pickups my favorites are: Tele and P90.
Of all the Neck pickups it's a Strat or a Jazzmaster.

My future build list contains a JM body with
-Tele bridge pickup (reversed/Hendrix angle, mounted to JM pickguard no Tele bridge plate) ,
-Jaguar middle pickup (biased closer to the bridge pickup than true middle), and
-Jazzmaster neck pickup

.

That's one of the Helecaster's sigs, yeah? I've seen photos of them but know nothing about them. What's with those pickups, particularly the magnets?

They are simply very hot ceramic magnet p’ups with fat screws for pole pieces.
