Alvarez Dove copy.
Total tangent, but Alvarez (and especially Alvarez-Yairi) guitars are underrated gems. I've owned three Yairis, and all punched far above their weight. I've also owned an Alvarez, and bought some for a music program I was volunteering with.
I've yet to meet an Alvarez guitar that was worse than its price point, but I've met many that were far better.
Yes, absolutely. Im always keeping an eye out for the right onem

I'm going to guess that your hint about it being hollow was a misdirection and it is a Japanese Dreadnought copy.
It's totally a lawsuit era Takamine D28 knockoff.

Oh cool! What a beautiful guitar!
So it also has the bent ply wood top on a plain body with the gigantic routes for the wiring? I thought the guitars with a bolt on neck had the ply wood top and the set neck guitars had typically a solid top.

I love those slightly goofy looking pickups.

Yes, I know. That's why I'm asking. I assumed because of the set neck it would be in the category of the higher end guitars such as Burny, some Grecos and so on, thus having a solid top. I didn't know there was a "class in between" with a set neck but at the same time a ply wood top.

Sure, once it gets here, and the sound sample only because you requested it.

Nice!
Those old Maxon pickups are pretty damn good sounding, usually. Some people pay lotsa money for them.
I used to own a quite similar Kasuga, but it had one "plain" neck pickup. And it was the Standard model.
i love delay SO much ...that i procrastinate all the time.

There's a guy in Windsor, ON, selling a set of these pickups.
They're listed for $350 on Reverb.

Hi, yes. Plays nice. I did a bit of a setup though.
Sounds good, I prefer the bridge pickup on this guitar for a change. The neck pickup is a little bassy. The bridge is sparkly.
That's all I can do for describing sound. I'll post better pics later today. Will attempt to record a short video clip too... But not sure when.
