Current Gaban Les Pauls

Post by Fiddy » Thu Sep 01, 2022 7:56 pm

Not sure if this thread will be nuked like my last one.

Hints:

Iconic shape. Most people have played one. This one happens to be hollow as far as i know. Mid 70s is my guesstimate as to when this one was made.

I'm going to guess that your hint about it being hollow was a misdirection and it is a Japanese Dreadnought copy.

Alvarez Dove copy.
Back in those days, everyone knew that if you were talking about Destiny's Child, you were talking about Beyonce, LaTavia, LeToya, and Larry.

Total tangent, but Alvarez (and especially Alvarez-Yairi) guitars are underrated gems. I've owned three Yairis, and all punched far above their weight. I've also owned an Alvarez, and bought some for a music program I was volunteering with.

I've yet to meet an Alvarez guitar that was worse than its price point, but I've met many that were far better.

What is:
So is my new Guitar! A Gaban Les Paul.

*Jeopardy style. Alex Trebek tribute. :P 8)

My very first electric was a Japanese Les Paul, then i went through a 30 year plus span of unjustified hatred towards them.

Not sure why tbh..

The logo bahaaa...
