I think it's safe to say I'm officially jealous of this one. Well, done!!
The cool thing about fretless is you can hit a note...and then renegotiate.

Blimey! You never stop, do you?
Seriously, that's a gorgeous guitar. And that's from somebody who doesn't like Coronados... Well, didn't until now.
It sounds as good as it looks too... Congratulations!

You did it again. You’re basically living my dream: if I wasn’t so poor, I’d try every obscure vintage Fender with a vibrato that I could find.

Don't be fooled, the gear carousel is mainly just an elaborate and convoluted (but fun) money laundering enterprise*HedonismBot wrote: ↑Wed Aug 31, 2022 10:04 pmYou did it again. Man these guitars look so cool in general. That colour, too.
Amazing score.

Yep, that's a beauty. Congratulations!!
I love the way the binding has turned almost butterscotch. It pairs so nicely with the greened LPB.
My Vox hollowbody went through the same changes but the F-holes look to be painted, not bound, & still remain white...

You think you can't, you wish you could, I know you can, I wish you would. Slip inside this house as you pass by.

it's really not difficult at all if you use lengths of latex surgical tubing to fish the pots through.
congratulations on the purchase, I LOVED my '67 Coronado XII, I regret selling it to pay my tuition back in the 90's. They're not fetching truly astronomical prices, but they're still worth more than my fine arts degree.

Thanks, but I was more talking about getting the full-sized, all soldered up pots through the hole to begin with. It can be pretty toughLost In Autumn wrote: ↑Sat Sep 03, 2022 2:25 amit's really not difficult at all if you use lengths of latex surgical tubing to fish the pots through.

A week into ownership I'm almost there with the setup. Action is still a little high. I might actually go down to 11's on this as I definitely gravitate to more complex picking and chordal stuff on it over out-and-out thrashing like with my others. That middle position is utterly divine too - rings like a bell and, with a splash of reverb, is lovely to just pick away at and strum.
