Heh - I like the headstock shape a lot, but the body doesn't do much for me haha! But I do really like that headstock. It’s either a lick of flame or a crashing wave, both cool images. I am utterly and hopelessly smitten by the JM / jag body shape. I don’t think I’ll ever like any other shape, ever haha!

I love how European builders in the olden days would paint white faux binding on black headstocks, or even better, paint white pinstripe purfling on black headstocks. How hard would it be to do something like that on that sunburst one? Your red Primaluxe would look good with it, too.
Otherwise, I like the matching headstocks generally, but black looks good on a goldtop.

Thanks! Moe Colors https://www.instagram.com/moecolors/?hl=en is my painter and he does tons of motorcycle work. I'm sure something like that would be no problem for him. He does faux bindings on my bodies all the time. The orange and sunburst bodies have it, it's just so subtle because the mahogany is so dark and the angle of the photo doesn't really show it off.countertext wrote: ↑Sat Jun 11, 2022 8:42 pmI love how European builders in the olden days would paint white faux binding on black headstocks, or even better, paint white pinstripe purfling on black headstocks. I like it. It's screaming for a top binding, though

I’ve always loved this shape, but I think it would benefit from having some sort of pickguard. Even just a small one like from a 335 or LP. That and some sort of binding as mentioned above.
