Given how there are two separate miniswitches for each pickup I'm guessing you get series/parallel/phase switching for each?

If you're the experimenting type I guess you can get sounds out of it that hasn't been had from any guitar before, and I suppose that's why it exists. Endless possibilities in endless combinations.

He mentioned this guitar in a total guitar magazine interview back when he was in Electronic - saying something like " bought it cause I thought in might sound interesting... or disgusting"

Looks like the hardtail baseplate had to be ground to accommodate the ninth pickup... So on top of terrible sustain because of the huge magnetic pull, the guitar must have pretty limited intonation possibilities.

I'm kinda disappointed they went for Strat pickups and not hot rails style humbuckers though. That would have been 18 coils... :derp:
i don't think they needed to grind away at the bridge. should have just butted them all together. split the pickguard in 2, drill the holes so all the pickups are butted up together and you don't need to grind away at the bridge.
