I use a thumb pick and otherwise play fingerstyle.

I frequently use a pick. My faves are the Herco Flex 75 or the Clayton Raven, rounded triangle, in .63 or .80

I sometimes use my thumb, index, and middle fingers (occasionally pinching them together as though I had a pick but striking with my index-fingernail or flesh of my thumb). I wish I was better at playing this way and think there's a lot to Lightning Hopkins' and Mississippi Fred McDowell's finger style playing that links to my garagey/scuzz/gaze style.

I was full plectrum until encountering Danny Gatton 30+ years ago, then went to pick & fingers. Essentially flat picking but with hybrid elements often rather than just pick strokes. 8)

I mess around solely finger style but prefer the pick & fingers.

Yeah me. Can't get my head round them. Just feel horribly limited with one.
But I started with classical so that's probably why.

For many years my entire collection was a bass and a classical. Not only do I struggle to use picks I can't remember where I left them.
