What year/era is this guitar? If it's not too old and valuable then do what you want, burst LP's are ten-a-pennycincinnatiharry wrote: ↑Wed Dec 22, 2021 1:10 pmGonna have the top of my Gibson Les Paul Traditional refinished to shell pink.

I fucking love shell pink guitars, but I'm with everyone else on here, that's a gorgeous plain top, don't refinish it.

I definitely agree that if you love the guitar, and it's not a vintage worth money or anything, do what you wish. If I wanted a shell pink LP (which I LOVE the idea of), I'd go find a flamed or quilted maple LP, which I've always thought were hideous.

Maybe someone in the OSG family would buy your plaintop, so you'd have the cash for Shadow's idea.Shadoweclipse13 wrote: ↑Wed Dec 22, 2021 2:45 pmI definitely agree that if you love the guitar, and it's not a vintage worth money or anything, do what you wish. Re: Don’t it make your plain top pink
Nice! I'd go for hot pink and maybe a black pickguard though, because I'm a bit broken.
I also don't care about the value of Les Pauls, or anything much about them really.

Do it. World has enough LPs (obviously unless it is old/valuable...)

That's not broken! Pink and black go together VERY well. Like a guitar version of the Pink Ladies from Grease

Maybe with a nice dark back. With a red back.. ooph.
I like the old Custom Lite with the pinkish finish and would probably buy one if I found one for a reasonable price.Shadoweclipse13 wrote: ↑Wed Dec 22, 2021 5:03 pmThat's not broken! Pink and black go together VERY well. Like a guitar version of the Pink Ladies from Grease

Re: Don’t it make your plain top pink
Thank you. It’s only a 1960 model, I hear the 1959 ones are worth the most.
Thinking about scalloping the frets and and putting on a Floyd Rose too.
